2026 Team Alberta Flag Football Tryout Registration

This tryout is an OPEN invitation to all Alberta athletes in the age range.

Location: The Dome in Red Deer

Upon arrival, please head to the designated check-in area.

T-Shirts: All new registrants will receive a Team Alberta tryout t-shirt upon arrival.
The t-shirt will have a designated number for each athlete and a colour for each age group.

Footwear: Cleats are highly recommended for artificial turf (no metal cleats).
Apparel: Athletic shorts (preferably without pockets) and ALBERTA T-Shirt
Equipment: Flag belt and flags. If you do not own a belt, Football Alberta will provide one for the duration of the tryout.
Hydration: A water bottle clearly labeled with the athlete's name.
Optional: Football gloves.

After February 7, selected athletes will be invited to attend the next round of tryouts on the following dates:

Team Alberta Tryouts: 1st Date

Sunday, February 22, 2026 - Red Deer Dome in Red Deer, AB

11:00 am to 1:00 pm - Female Athletes

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm - Male Athletes

Team Alberta Tryouts: 2nd Date

Sunday, March 8, 2026 - Red Deer Dome in Red Deer, AB

10:00 am to 12:00 pm - Female Athletes

12:00 pm to 2:00 pm - Male Athletes

Top 10 to 12 female and male players in each age division will play for Team Alberta at the Football Canada Flag Elite National Championship in Kingston, Ontario.
May 14, 2026 Travel Day from Edmonton or Calgary.
Game Days May 15, 16, and 17, 2026.
Fly home May 18, 2026.
The team will be staying together in the Queens University accommodations.
$2,000 per player plus a $250 fundraising requirement
Team registration includes flights, accommodations, meals, apparel, and all team expenses.
