Football Alberta is hosting unique opportunity that promises to leave a lasting impact on the sports community and beyond.  The 2nd Annual Indigenous Cup, hosted in Edmonton at the end of June, stands as a beacon of unity, diversity, and excellence in sports. With Football Alberta and Indigenous Football Canada joining forces, this event transcends traditional boundaries, celebrating the best in Indigenous football talent while fostering a spirit of inclusivity and collaboration.

The Indigenous Cup will run alongside the U20 IFAF World Junior Championships, adding even greater significance to the event. The World Championship will bring together teams from the USA, Japan, Brazil, Austria, Australia, Panama, and Host Canada, creating a truly international stage for the Indigenous Cup participants to showcase their talent.

Indigenous Team Alberta Selection Camp

• Open to Indigenous players in Grade 9-12 in Alberta.
• May 4, 2024.
• Nisku Turf Training Centre #4.
• 1030 34 Ave, Nisku, AB.
• Practice Time: 12 to 2pm and 4-6pm.
• Cost: $40, plus GST for the Selection Camp.
• Full equipment required.

Team Alberta Details

• Team Alberta will be a 6-A-Side All-Star Team playing in the Indigenous Cup.
• The event is in partnership with the IFAF U20 World Junior Football Championship in Edmonton.
• June 28 to July 1st in Edmonton.
• July 1^st Jamboree at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.
• Teams competing from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and TBD.
• Meals, Accommodation, Jerseys, and Practise Times included.
• $600 if selected to Team Alberta.
