2025 Team AB Flag Football

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the Team Alberta Flag Football Tryouts! Selected athletes will have the opportunity to compete at the Football Canada National Championships from May 16-18, 2025, in Kingston, ON. This national competition will feature teams from across Canada, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills at the highest level. The Elite Flag Nationals continue to serve as a critical pathway for athletes aiming to represent Canada internationally, including future Olympic participation.

 Who Can Try Out? 

• U14 (Born 2012-2013)
• U16 (Born 2010-2011)
• U18 (Born 2008-2009)
• U19 (Born 2007)
• Male and female divisions for each age group 

Selection Dates & Locations 

• North Selections - March 22, 2025, at Foote Field, Edmonton, AB
• South Selections - March 23, 2025, at Shouldice Athletic Park, Calgary, AB
• Central Selections (Invite Only) - April 5, 2025, at MEGlobal Athletic Park, Lacombe, AB

Athletes selected from the tryouts will participate in Team Alberta training camps on April 19, May 10, and May 11 in Lacombe, AB, before heading to Nationals on May 15.

Football Canada Flag Elite National Championships

• Top 10-12 female and male players in each age division will play for Team Alberta at the Football Canada Flag Elite National Championship in Kingston, Ontario.
• May 15 Travel Day from Edmonton or Calgary.  Football Alberta has limited tickets from both cities and will determine where each player flies out of.
• Game Days May 16, 17 and 18.
• Fly home May 19.
• The team will be staying together in the Queens University accommodations.
• Team registration includes flights accommodations, meals, apparel and all team expenses.
• The player fee is $1,500, plus a $250 fundraising requirement.
• Additional fundraising and sponsorship options are available.
